70 to 90% of medicinal plants used worldwide are wild plants. Neither sown nor processed, wild plants are hand-picked from their natural ecosystems, where they develop properties incomparable to those cultivated in agriculture.
These unique medicinal properties are explained by the presence of secondary metabolites. Molecules present in the cells of the plant, and which it needs when it is in its natural environment and is subject to external aggressions which it would not have to face if it were cultivated agriculturally.
