Cleansing oil or micellar water: which to choose?
On The Wild Side
Cleansing oil is more effective on long-lasting makeup and SPF; micellar water is suitable for quick makeup removal. OTWS recommends oil + jelly for a complete double cleanse.
Cleansing oil or micellar water? Both remove makeup — but they don't work the same way, and aren't suitable for the same needs.
Micellar water
Advantages: fast, practical, refreshing.
Limitations: micelle film if not rinsed properly; less effective on waterproof mascara and stubborn SPF.
Cleansing oil
Advantages: dissolves makeup, SPF and impurities; pleasant massage; emulsifies when rinsed.
The OTWS Cleansing Oil combines sunflower oil, plum oil and aloe vera.
