    HAIR FAQ

    REPAIR YOUR SCALP

Irritated scalp, overly dry or oily hair, hair loss... All of these concerns are often the result of scalp disorders. With the right actions, the right products, a good diet, and a little patience, you can give your hair a new lease on life. We'll guide you step by step.

    Oily hair

Oily hair is caused by overproduction of sebum.

    REBALANCE YOUR SCALP

    • Space out shampoos as much as possible, as they can be harsh on the scalp and accelerate sebum production. 2 to 3 shampoos per week are recommended.

    • Take the time to reaccustom your scalp to natural hair care , without chemical components that can be aggressive and irritating like sulfates and silicones. It takes 3 weeks for your hair system to rebalance and relearn how to naturally self-regulate sebum production (which is very good for the hair fiber when produced in the right quantity). The 2 essentials to start your transition: the Daily Shampoo and the Hair Care Mask .

    DIY RECIPE FOR OILY HAIR

Mix 2 tablespoons of nettle powder with 200ml of boiling water, then add 2 to 3 tablespoons of green clay powder to obtain a thick paste. It is possible to add 1 to 2 drops of Tea Tree essential oil with purifying and antibacterial properties. Apply to the roots and lengths, massaging well and leave on for a few moments before shampooing.

    Hair loss

The causes are multiple: hormonal variations, emotional or physical shocks (significant weight loss, stress, childbirth, etc.), certain medications, hyperthyroidism, scalp lesions, hereditary alopecia, etc.

    DIETARY ADVICE

    • Focus on foods rich in keratin (the main protein that makes up hair). It is found in animal proteins such as eggs, meat, fish, milk but also in certain vegetables such as broccoli, leeks, cabbage.

    • Limit the risk of iron deficiency, which is known to aggravate scalp fragility. Some foods rich in iron : legumes, cereals such as quinoa, oilseeds, soy, etc. To better assimilate iron from plant sources, it is best to combine it with vitamin C (lemon juice, for example).

    THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF NETTLE

Wild Nettle is a magical plant with 1000 virtues. It strengthens the hair fiber and helps fight against hair loss. It is one of the main active ingredients in our Skin-Nails-Hair Food Supplements . We recommend a 3-month course for lasting effects on hair regrowth. Nettle can also be consumed as a herbal tea or applied externally to the scalp in a herbal bath or in vinegar; it slows hair loss and restores hair vigor.

    LIFESTYLE

    • As with the skin, a good sleep cycle (7 hours minimum) is essential for good cellular renewal of the scalp

    • Choose a silk pillowcase , silk fibers are rich in proteins and enzymes which help maintain the hydration of the hair fiber

    Films

Stress, hormonal secretions, certain synthetic ingredients, a diet too rich in fast sugars can cause the proliferation of dandruff.

    BET ON VEGETABLE OILS
    • Avoid hair products with chemical components that are too aggressive for the hydrolipidic barrier of the scalp (silicones, sulfates)
    • Choose products based on vegetable oils such as sage hydrosol (found in our Daily Shampoo ) which helps limit the appearance of dandruff and flaking of the scalp.

    REDUCE THE NUMBER OF SHAMPOOS
Too frequent use of shampoo is a form of aggression for the scalp because the sebaceous glands are constantly stimulated and to defend themselves, they will produce even more sebum which will then facilitate the development of dandruff. The ideal is therefore to avoid daily washing as much as possible and to limit yourself to 2 or 3 shampoos per week .

    DIY ANTI-DANDRUFF RECIPE
Mix 4 essential drops of Tea Tree with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and organic natural yogurt (with strong anti-bacterial properties ;)) and apply to the hair, leave on for about twenty minutes before shampooing.

    Irritated scalp

An irritated and itchy scalp is most often caused by a deterioration of the scalp's hydrolipidic barrier (the small layer of sebum at the root of the hair). The use of hair products containing harsh chemicals, coloring, or highlights can be the cause of this weakening of the scalp.

SWITCH TO A 100% GREEN HAIR RITUAL

Ingredients that may cause or worsen scalp irritation :

    • Silicones: They “make up” your hair, giving it a smooth and shiny appearance, but actually act like a varnish that suffocates the hair fiber.

    • Sulfates: These are chemical foaming agents found in most shampoos.

    • Essential Oils

The alternative: plant-based oils and silicones . Nourishing, soothing, purifying, they have 1000 virtues for the hair fiber while being very gentle on the scalp. They are at the heart of our hair routine, composed of:

    Daily Shampoo

    Hair Care Mask

    Hair Care Oil

    Dry, brittle hair

4 simple and effective actions to adopt every day.

    BRUSHING

Brushing your hair helps moisturize it naturally. By brushing, you'll deposit a thin, natural, protective layer of sebum on your hair . Our recommendation: choose a brush with natural bristles to stimulate your scalp without damaging it.

    WASHING: DOS & DON'TS

    • Apply the shampoo only to the scalp , not the lengths.

Avoid rubbing your lengths to avoid damaging the hair fiber.

    • Choose lukewarm water

    DRYING

The key to less dry and brittle hair: use as little heat as possible when drying. Ideally, let your hair air dry. When drying, choose a microfiber towel.

    HYDRATE WITHOUT WEIGHING DOWN

To nourish and moisturize your hair, choose treatments based on plant-based silicones, such as our Hair Care Oil . They naturally tighten the hair fiber for soft, shiny, and manageable hair.
